With a number of bases throughout the UK, RW Greeff are a well established supplier of industrial consumables. The products supplied are from some of the most reputable companies in the world such as Univar, 3M and Dow Corning. Made up of over 8,000 items, their product catalogue is very comprehensive and detailed.
As the main UK technical partner of 3M, RW Greeff are now able to offer the RITE-LOK product range of adhesives. The range is suitable for a number of purposes from everyday solutions to advanced process solutions.
1. Adhesives which are Anaerobic - Single component engineering adhesives are extremely well performing and will cure in the presence of metal parts as well as the non-presence of air. These adhesives come with a range of strengths and viscosities and are also split into application categories. These categories are gasket making, threadlocking, pipe sealants and retaining.
2. Cyanoacrylate Adhesives - High specification single component adhesives that cure based on traces of moisture found on surfaces. Commonly referred to as superglues, cyanoarcrylates bond on a variety of substrates including metals, plastics, rubbers, wood and ceramics.
The Cyanoacrylate range must meet a number of precise bonding guidelines. These are that they should be high temperature resistant, toughened for rubber, have a low odour level, capable of bonding metals and be low bloom.
3. Ultra Violet Curing Adhesives - High performance, single component adhesives that cure when exposed to UV light. UV adhesives provide rapid cure (in seconds) and a high strength, invisible bond line. UV adhesives bond most glass, metal and plastic substrates where at least one surface allows penetration of UV light.
UV curling adhesives come in a number of various viscosities and their curling properties allow them to be used in a number of applications. Standard everyday uses are the bonding of electronic potting, medical profession devices as well as the bonding of glass furniture.
4. Structural Adhesives and High Temperature Sealants - Ideally these adhesives work very well with the current range of structural adhesives from 3M. This is because they are product specific and therefore work best if used this way.
Silver loaded epoxy adhesives are designed to produce bonds which are electronically conductive. This feature allows them to be used in a variety of electrical and electronic purposes. If you are looking to make repairs to piping, tanks and castings, you can use a two-part putty which is ideal for these MRO applications. A two part but no-mix acrylic adhesive is SA30, handling strength is available after just one and a half minutes as well as being useful on most plastics. Due to this feature, it is well used in the signage market.
