A trampoline undoubtedly means great fun for the kids and family alike. A Trampoline can bring all of your friends and family together for some never ending fun. There is also no denying that bouncing on trampolines is a great way to exercise and has multiple health benefits. But there is a flip side to it too. We cannot afford to ignore the fact that there is a serious side to jumping on a trampoline too. When I say this I mean especially keeping children in mind, Trampolines may bring a high rate of injury unless you ensure you follow some basic rules, like always ensure it comes with a safety net in the package.

In this article we will look at all the aspects related to getting a trampoline, maintaining it and keeping a watch on children while they are on it to minimize the chances of accidents and injuries.

Trampolines come in wide range of varieties such as Mini Trampoline, Water Trampoline, Trampoline for Competitions, High Jump Trampolines, Indoor Trampoline, Outdoor Trampoline, Springless Trampolines etc. Which one should you go for depends upon your requirements, age of your kids, available area etc. Along with variety in models there are also many sizes and colours to choose from.

Trampolines boast a dual advantage. They bring enjoyment, togetherness, and help us get good exercise at all at once. Trampolining helps to get cardiovascular fitness as well as improve the lymphatic circulation and balance and coordination. Trampolines are also sometimes called rebounders.

The most difficult thing about buying a trampoline for your child is figuring out exactly what to get. Buying a trampoline can get pretty confusing.

Which brings us back to our core issue related to buying trampoline. Getting a trampoline for your child can be a potential hazard. If used improperly it can result in serious injuries. Trampolines also need looking after. If they are not cared for in a proper manner they fail to deliver and can result in causing injury that could vary from a simple scrape or a cut to some serious muscle tears, and muscle strains. It is also advised that parents always supervise the children while they are bouncing to prevent injuries or accidents.

The safer option is to go for an indoor trampoline for your child. They may look smaller and in all likelihood will offer less thrill but indoor trampolines can provide many hours of comparatively safer and uninterrupted fun, plus you are also not compromising on the benefits either. They are easy to store. They are suitable for apartment owners and homes that have a small garden or yard.

Another important angle to consider before getting your kids a trampoline is contacting and checking with your homeowner’s insurance agent. Many homeowners' insurance policies will not pay out towards injuries as a result of bouncing on a trampoline. Check with your insurance agent or your landlord before buying a trampoline for your child.

You need to collect all the relevant information to make buying a trampoline an easier decision. Also get the right size and shape too. It matters a lot and depends upon age of children and area in your home. The salesman at the trampoline shop should be able to guide you better.
