Sit back a few minutes there and enjoy the final hours in the old house before you leave it. It is a place you have lived so far. There you will have good and bad memories to recall. Don’t put all bags in the van. Keep one or two boxes and bags with you so that it comes handy for any missed things at the time of final vacation. Some essentials might have kept out of the move or put in a corner to take later. It should be clearly marked to take easily in the new place.

Keep coffee mugs, tea, kettle and toiletries handy. If you have small babies, keep their essentials in the hand baggage separate from the total luggage you put in the van. Keep all essential things with you only like ID cards, passport and any other important documents. Keep it in a proper place where you can take them easily.

You can also take the last meter reading, of water and electricity. Gas should be switched off properly if nobody is going to stay there for few days.
