You can attract traffic by feeding people's thirst for knowledge. All this tactic requires is that you write high quality, informative articles.

If you have a newsletter, you should already be writing articles to send to your subscribers. By taking those same articles and submitting them to article directories, you establish yourself as an expert and drive free traffic to your site at the same time.

Thousands of other newsletter publishers just like you want great content to include in their publications. Only many of them are lousy writers, can't think of anything to write about or don't have the time to write their own articles.

So they turn to article directories to find that much needed content. These sites allow ezine publishers to reprint any listed article in their newsletter for free. All they have to do is give the author credit for the article and include a link back to the author's site.

When you are the author of the article, you get free publicity as well as a free link. And that one link could turn in to dozens, depending on how many publishers pick up your article.

Then encourage them to publish your articles for free-as long as they provide a link back to your site. Any article you post has the potential to go viral. When that happens, you better be prepared for serious traffic spikes.
